My Story.

Jewelry Artist Sara Bolden was raised in a rural town on Maryland's Eastern Shore and relocated to New Mexico in 2004 with her mother’s blessing saying to do something different. Since then, she has been inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the mountains to the east, volcanoes to the west, and endless ways to explore. Bolden is now pursuing a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary arts at the University of New Mexico, with a focus on jewelry fabrication and arts leadership and business, and works as a lab monitor at the Small Metals lab on campus.

Bolden established Galaxia Berillus Jewelry in 2020 after 10 years of working in the jewelry industry, where she learned about stone acquisition, jewelry manufacture, retailing, and business administration. Her abilities and years of experience working in office and retail environments equipped her with the strong work ethic and business acumen needed to become a full-time student and entrepreneur.

Galaxia Berillus Jewelry distinguishes itself from other distinctive stone-work jewelry creators by specializing in one-of-a-kind designs made with natural materials and various metalsmithing techniques and marketed at a reasonable price. Each item is a one-of-a-kind work of art that is inspired by the random beauty of semi-precious gemstones, whether raw or polished. Each artwork is a protective amulet when combined with the organic melting metal of the Tiffany process or when encased in sterling silver. Galaxia Berillus retails and commissions jewelry that provides clients with not just elegance and beauty, but also power and protection.
